the backyard

We haven't had alot of time spent on this so far but have made a start. The ground is very uneven and is a challenge for the lawnmower each week. At this stage we are just planting and painted the rickity fences to give it an immediate tidy up, later on will be paving for the spa pool and BBQ area and a change around with the decking. The house gets all day sun so we will be spending alot of time outside, hopefully!

this is by no means finished, lots to do out here and we fit it in when the weather is fine, although having said that I am getting just a little tired of trying to paint in the wind. Who would have thought paint could actually blow off a paint brush, trust me it can!

I have very few flowers at the moment but heres a little peek of the colour starting to come through, in regards to the grape vine, it started out looking really promising but sadly they look really munted now, gonna have to feed them up next year I think, the neighbour has a grape vine and theirs are looking awesome and I know they don't do anything to it, if they allow their grass to grow knee high, something tells me gardening is not high on the priority list.
