Queens birthday weekend 2011

Only a week late with this one, not so bad. The weekends project was the garage, or more to the point the outside of the garage, or even more to the point, the garage door. Another bargain off Trade Me and only a few alterations needing to be made, but hey, at least we knew the measurements this time, we iz getting good!

Not alot of dramas getting this done, haha...easy for me to say as I wasn't the one doing it but things seemed to go rather smoothly once the original old dented and bunged up roller door was off. The door came already painted and as soon as it went on made a huge difference.

so straight away a huge difference, but it did however really show up the broken cladding near the top, so although the weather was not great, in fact at this point it had started raining, Brent is out there pulling off the old cladding ready to put on the new, this he had prepared earlier :)

all done apart from painting the rest of it but that is for another day. Another job ticked off the list. As I said earlier the weather on the day was not that great and the mist hung around the hills all day, made for some pretty cool photos though...

a good weekends work and just as a treat I had a go at making my own mallowpuffs, just without the biscuit base and they were yummy!
